These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DejaFood (the "App," the "Service"), operated by an individual doing business as DejaFood ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use DejaFood. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away at jake@dejafood.co.
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab within the App. Account deletion is immediate and permanently removes your data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DejaFood on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App; reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App's source code, except where applicable law permits it; rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App; or use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Ownership. You retain full ownership of the meal logs, notes, ratings, and photos you create or upload in DejaFood ("Your Content").
License to us. By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process it solely for the purpose of operating the App for you — for example, saving your meal logs, generating your personal insights, and creating share cards you choose to export. We do not use Your Content for any purpose beyond providing the App to you, and we do not sell Your Content.
Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for Your Content. By uploading a photo or writing a note, you confirm that you own it or otherwise have the right to upload it, and that it does not infringe on anyone else's copyright, privacy, or other rights.
Sharing outside the App. If you use DejaFood's share feature to export a meal or dish card to another app (such as Messages, Instagram, or TikTok), that export happens at your direction, and use of the exported content outside DejaFood is subject to the terms of whatever platform you share it to.

DejaFood is a personal food memory tool. Nothing in the App — including insights, patterns, ratings, or recommendations — constitutes medical, dietary, nutritional, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for guidance related to your health or diet.
DejaFood relies on third-party services to operate, including Supabase (data storage), Apple Maps (place search), and Apple or Google Sign-In (authentication). Your use of these integrations is also subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how we share information with these providers.
DejaFood is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Place information (such as restaurant details from Apple Maps) is provided by third parties and may not always be accurate or up to date.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
If you downloaded DejaFood from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
